Portia Barton, Live Like Charlotte
Portia Barton is a grieving mother working to honor the life, legacy and memory of her daughter, Charlotte Rose Barton. Charlotte died from a severe allergic reaction in 2022 at the age of 12. Charlotte meant so much to so many, and the fact she is no longer here to share her story about living with life-threatening food allergies means I have much work to do.

I never imagined nor wanted grief to be my “WHY." That I would take an event so incredibly tragic & transform the utter devastation of losing Charlotte into purpose & meaning. That to say the words FOOD ALLERGIES & FOOD ALLERGY AWARENESS would become associated with the name Charlotte Barton. Yet, here I am, doing my best to honor Charlotte & make sure we never forget the person she was, the dreams that she had, the love that she gave."
