If you feel like food allergies are running your life, I'm so glad you found me here at the Don't Feed the Fear podcast. I'm Amanda Whitehouse, food allergy anxiety psychologist, and I've got support, resources, and helpful ideas to help you take back control of your life. I've built my psychology practice working with people like you who are experiencing food allergy related anxiety and trauma. I've used my education and my family's own experiences to create an approach that combines evidence based treatments, emerging ideas and research, and most importantly, a deep understanding of your fear, isolation, and trauma. I'm also here to carve out time to discuss and celebrate the ways our experiences strengthen, guide, and make us better people. I'm coming to you from Buffalo, New York, where we experience four beautiful seasons of the year, and that's what guides my personal and professional life. So the Don't Feed the Fear podcast will follow the same rhythm, addressing a topic or aspect of food allergy, anxiety, and trauma within each season. Within that topic, you'll find a combination of episodes with information from me, interviews with people in your shoes, resources to help you learn and grow, and tips and tools that you can utilize as soon as each episode ends. My goal is to provide validation and support to help you move toward acceptance and confidence. Join me on your favorite podcast platform. Share with anyone you love who's impacted by food allergies. And remember, don't feed the fear.
